Last post of the year. Craziness! Here's one from a project that's on hold, maybe indefinitely. We'll see. I had a coloring book with poetry when I was little and I especially loved this poem by Edward Lear.
I illustrated the version of this traditional story told by Aaron Shepard. It was done in ink wash and parts were later colored digitally. Here is the cover and two of the spreads.
We were given an anonymous survey from a classmate and told to do a portrait. My person mentioned a balloon ride over castles and wanting to someday try exotic food like blowfish and haggis. Done in Copic Multiliners and watercolor.
